The crystal structure of tetrakistin(IV), , has been determined.The Moessbauer spectrum of the compound shows a single peak with an isomer shift of 1.20 mm s-1.The molecule is tetrahedral with no short intermolecular contacts.The Sn atom is located at a special position and the four Sn-C bond lengths are equal by symmetry.
