Conclusions
In summary, a novel cross-linkable deep-red Ir(III) complex and
an electron transport material were designed and synthesized
for use in the fabrication of solution-processed PHOLEDs. The
new cross-linkable deep-red Ir(III) complex was successfully
thermally cross-linked with a cross-linkable host in the EML.
After cross-linking, the EML was not damaged by organic
solvents. A maximum EQE of 4.10% (2.20 cd Aꢀ1) was achieved
for the cross-linked red PHOLEDs by spin-coating, which is
similar to the EQE of 4.35% (2.52 cd Aꢀ1) for red PHOLEDs
produced by vacuum-deposition.
