Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1416981-94-6 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,4,1,6,9,8 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1416981-94:
(9*1)+(8*4)+(7*1)+(6*6)+(5*9)+(4*8)+(3*1)+(2*9)+(1*4)=186
186 % 10 = 6
So 1416981-94-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Iron-catalysed enantioconvergent Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling to afford enantioenriched 1,1-diarylalkanes

Tyrol, Chet C.,Yone, Nang S.,Gallin, Connor F.,Byers, Jeffery A.

supporting information, p. 14661 - 14664 (2020/12/02)

The first stereoconvergent Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction was developed to afford enantioenriched 1,1-diarylalkanes. An iron-based complex containing a chiral cyanobis(oxazoline) ligand framework was best to obtain enantioenriched 1,1-diarylalkanes from cross-coupling reactions between unactivated aryl boronic esters and benzylic chlorides. Enhanced yields were obtained when 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene was used as an additive, which is hypothesized to extend the lifetime of the iron-based catalyst. Exceptional enantioselectivities were obtained with challenging ortho-substituted benzylic chlorides. This journal is

Nickel-catalyzed cross-couplings of benzylic pivalates with arylboroxines: Stereospecific formation of diarylalkanes and triarylmethanes

Zhou, Qi,Srinivas, Harathi D.,Dasgupta, Srimoyee,Watson, Mary P.

, p. 3307 - 3310 (2013/04/23)

We have developed a stereospecific nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling of benzylic pivalates with arylboroxines. The success of this reaction relies on the use of Ni(cod)2 as the catalyst and NaOMe as a uniquely effective base. This reaction has broad scope with respect to the arylboroxine and benzylic pivalate, enabling the synthesis of a variety of diarylalkanes and triarylmethanes in good to excellent yields and ee's.
