2-Ethyladamantane is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C14H22. It is a derivative of adamantane, a diamondoid hydrocarbon. 2-Ethyladamantane is a colorless, crystalline solid with a pleasant menthol-like odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. 2-ETHYLADAMANTANE is often used as a starting material in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. It is also used as a lubricant additive and in the production of polymers. Additionally, 2-ethyladamantane has potential applications in the development of new materials and nanotechnology.
