Homoligand and mixed-ligand copper(II) phenanthrolinate complexes

Dobarkina,Skorik

, p. 1758 - 1762 (2008/10/08)

The CuGlut·2H2O, [CuPhen]Cl2, [CuPhen 2]Cl2·H2O, and [CuPhenGlut] ·2H2O salts were isolated from aqueous and ethanol solutions. At pH 6, ionic strength I = 0.1, and 25°C, 1:1, 1:2, and 1:1:1 complexes were photometrically found to predominate in aqueous solutions of the Cu 2+-Glut2-, Cu2+-Phen, and Cu 2+-Phen-Glut2- systems, respectively. The stability constant of the ternary complex was determined (logβ111 = 12.85). The electronic absorption spectra of solutions of these systems and salts were studied.
