2429-76-7 Usage
Description
Acid Yellow 44 is a synthetic dye characterized by its green light yellow color and yellow powder form. It is soluble in water, displaying a bright green light yellow hue, and is slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone, and soluble fiber elements. When exposed to strong sulfuric acid, it turns dark yellow and turns green light yellow upon dilution. It reacts with nitric acid to produce a red orange color, which then lightens to yellow. Its water solution turns red when mixed with strong hydrochloric acid, while it remains yellow in alkali solution.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Acid Yellow 44 is used as a direct dye for silk, polyamide fiber, and wool dyeing and printing. It is favored for its ability to produce vibrant colors and is known for its light fastness, soaping fastness, perspiration fastness, oxygen bleaching, and fastness to seawater. The dye has received ratings of ISO 4-5 for light fastness, ISO 5 for soaping and perspiration fastness, and ISO 5 for oxygen bleaching and fastness to seawater. Additionally, it has received AATCC ratings of 5 for light fastness, 3-4 for soaping and perspiration fastness, and 4-5 for oxygen bleaching.
Used in Leather Industry:
Acid Yellow 44 is also utilized in the leather industry for dyeing, where it provides similar benefits in terms of color vibrancy and fastness properties. It has received AATCC ratings of 4 for light fastness and 4 for both fading and staining resistance.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2429-76-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,4,2 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2429-76:
(6*2)+(5*4)+(4*2)+(3*9)+(2*7)+(1*6)=87
87 % 10 = 7
So 2429-76-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
