3,8-Diaza-bicyclo[3.2.1]octane, also known as 1,4-Diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO), is a heterocyclic organic compound with the chemical formula C6H12N2. It is a colorless, hygroscopic solid that is widely used as a catalyst in organic synthesis. DABCO is a versatile base catalyst that is effective in a wide range of reactions, including the formation of urethane linkages, Michael additions, and polymerizations.
