6247-27-4 Usage
Description
MORDANT BROWN 4 is a dark red to light brown chemical compound that is soluble in water, producing a yellow-red color. It is also soluble in Cellosolve, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, and insoluble in other organic solvents. When exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, it turns brilliant red, and upon dilution, there is a small change in color. In concentrated nitric acid, it forms an amber solution, and in a dilute sodium hydroxide solution, it results in a red-brown solution.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6247-27-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,2,4 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6247-27:
(6*6)+(5*2)+(4*4)+(3*7)+(2*2)+(1*7)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 6247-27-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
