6428-58-6 Usage
Description
Tetrasodium 2-[[4-[[4-[[1-hydroxy-6-(phenylamino)-3-sulphonato-2-naphthyl]azo]-7-sulphonato-1-naphthyl]azo]-1-naphthyl]azo]benzene-1,4-disulphonate is a blue-gray powder that is soluble in water, with a solubility of 50 g/L at 60°C and 60 g/L at 97°C. It is also soluble in alcohol. tetrasodium 2-[[4-[[4-[[1-hydroxy-6-(phenylamino)-3-sulphonato-2-naphthyl]azo]-7-sulphonato-1-naphthyl]azo]-1-naphthyl]azo]benzene-1,4-disulphonate exhibits strong acid resistance, turning blu-ray black in the presence of strong sulfuric acid and dark purple when diluted. It forms a navy to purple precipitate when strong hydrochloric acid is added to its dye solution, and a red light purple precipitate when sodium hydroxide solution is added.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Tetrasodium 2-[[4-[[4-[[1-hydroxy-6-(phenylamino)-3-sulphonato-2-naphthyl]azo]-7-sulphonato-1-naphthyl]azo]-1-naphthyl]azo]benzene-1,4-disulphonate is used as a dye for cellulose fibers, with a maximum dyeing temperature of 80°C. It has good levelness and very good discharge properties. However, it tends to discolor when it encounters copper or iron ions. It is mainly used for dyeing and printing silk, cotton, and viscose materials, as well as carpets. It can also be used in combination with disperse dyes for dyeing polyester/stick blended fabrics. It is suitable for a bath dyeing process.
Used in Paper Industry:
Tetrasodium 2-[[4-[[4-[[1-hydroxy-6-(phenylamino)-3-sulphonato-2-naphthyl]azo]-7-sulphonato-1-naphthyl]azo]-1-naphthyl]azo]benzene-1,4-disulphonate can also be used for paper dyeing and manufacturing color pigment sediment.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6428-58-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,4,2 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6428-58:
(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*2)+(3*8)+(2*5)+(1*8)=106
106 % 10 = 6
So 6428-58-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
