Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 854516-35-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,5,4,5,1 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 854516-35:
(8*8)+(7*5)+(6*4)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*6)+(2*3)+(1*5)=181
181 % 10 = 1
So 854516-35-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

2,1,3-Benzothiadiazole-containing donor-acceptor-acceptor dyes for dye-sensitized solar cells

Lin, Li-Yen,Tsai, Chih-Hung,Lin, Francis,Huang, Tsung-Wei,Chou, Shu-Hua,Wu, Chung-Chih,Wong, Ken-Tsung

experimental part, p. 7509 - 7516 (2012/09/22)

A series of organic dyes with a donor-acceptor-acceptor (D-A-A) configuration, in which various diarylthienylamine donors and a cyanoacrylic acid acceptor are bridged by a low-band-gap 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole acceptor, have been synthesized, characterized, and employed as photosensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The adoption of 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole as the bridging acceptor endowed these tailor-made dyes with superior light-harvesting capabilities in comparison to their previously reported pyrimidine-based analogs. After fine-tuning the fabrication conditions, DSSCs based on these dyes showed solar spectral responses extending to the near-IR region and achieved power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of up to 3.16% (OHexDPTB) under simulated AM 1.5G irradiation (100 mW cm-2).

Organic dyes incorporating low-band-gap chromophores for dye-sensitized solar cells

Velusamy, Marappan,Thomas, K.R. Justin,Lin, Jiann T.,Hsu, Ying-Chan,Ho, Kuo-Chuan

, p. 1899 - 1902 (2007/10/03)

(Figure Presented) Versatile dyes based on benzothiadiazole and benzoselenadiazole chromophores have been developed that perform efficiently in dye-sensitized solar cells. Power conversion efficiency of 3.77% is realized for a dye in which charge recombin
