The invention discloses a preparation method of trans-trans dicyclohexyl alkane liquid crystal compounds. According to the preparation method, 1-(4-(4-alkylcyclohexyl)phenyl)alkyl-1-one is used as a raw material; a benzene ring is converted into a cyclohexyl ring by means of a catalytic hydrogenation reaction; transposition is performed under the alkaline condition, so that 1-(4-(4-alkylcyclohexyl)cyclohexyl)alkyl-1-ol is obtained; the trans-trans dicyclohexyl alkane liquid crystal compounds are finally obtained by carrying out an oxidation reaction and a reduction reaction.
