Vinylbenzene could react with 1,1-Dichloro-2,2-difluoroethylene to produce 2,2-dichloro-1,1-difluoro-3-phenyl-cyclobutane. This reaction could happen in the reagent of hydroquinone, with the temperature of 130 °C.

5. Synthesis of 1,1-Dichloro-2,2-difluoroethylene (CAS No. 79-35-6)

1,1,1,2-tetrachloro-2,2-difluoro-ethane could react to produce 1,1-dichloro-2,2-difluoro-ethene. This reaction could happen with the type of Dehalogenation. This happen in the reagent of Zn & ZnCl2 and the solvent of ethanol, in the reaction temperature of 60 °C. And it needs the reaction time of 3 hours, with the yield of 80%.
