    1. What is vilazodone?
    Vilazodone
    (United States trade name Viibryd) is a serotonergic antidepressant developed by Clinical Data for the treatment of major depressive disorder. Viibryd vilazodone is thought to work by increasing the activity of serotonin in the brain and binding to certain serotonin receptors. Vilazodone, a prescription drug, is taken once a day and is generally well tolerated.

    Viibryd
    is a prescription medication used for the treatment of depression. Vilazodone is approved in 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg doses. Vilazodone usage is as a combined serotonin specific reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and 5-HT1A receptor partial agonist currently under clinical evaluation for the treatment of major depression.

    3. Vilazodone side effects
    Just like any medicine, vilazodone can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. Most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
