Conclusion
In conclusion, we have prepared an efcient organic solid acid catalyst by post-
modifcation of the COF, which was prepared via reaction of melamine and tere-
phthalaldehyde. The COF-SO3H was shown to be porous with a surface area of
79.327 m2 g−1. After characterization of the catalyst, it was used as an efective solid
acid catalyst for the synthesis of various 1,4-dihydropyridine and polyhydroquino-
line derivatives via an one-pot multicomponent Hantzsch reaction in the presence of
COF-SO3H as the catalyst with high isolated yields. This methodology ofers sev-
eral advantages including high yield, short reaction time, simple workup procedure,
solvent-free conditions, and recyclability of the catalyst.
