Description
Solvent Violet 8 is a brilliant blue-purple dye that is soluble in water, resulting in a purple color, and in ethanol, also yielding a purple color. When dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid, it turns orange, and upon dilution, it forms a green precipitate. The dye's aqueous solution turns brownish-red and forms a precipitate when sodium hydroxide is added.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 52080-58-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,2,0,8 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 52080-58:
(7*5)+(6*2)+(5*0)+(4*8)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*8)=97
97 % 10 = 7
So 52080-58-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
