6227-14-1 Usage
Description
Direct Violet 9 is a blue-purple dye that is soluble in water, producing a red light purple color. It is also soluble in soluble fiber elements and slightly soluble in alcohol, but insoluble in other organic solvents. The dye solution exhibits different colors when mixed with various chemicals, such as blue-ray green in strong sulfuric acid and red light brown in nitric acid solution. It is used for dyeing and printing on cotton, viscose, and silk, as well as for coloring paper and leather.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Direct Violet 9 is used as a dye for cotton, viscose, and silk due to its ability to produce a range of colors and its solubility in water and soluble fiber elements.
Used in Paper Industry:
Direct Violet 9 is used for paper coloring, providing a vibrant color to the paper.
Used in Leather Industry:
Direct Violet 9 is used for leather coloring, adding a unique color to the leather products.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6227-14-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,2,2 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6227-14:
(6*6)+(5*2)+(4*2)+(3*7)+(2*1)+(1*4)=81
81 % 10 = 1
So 6227-14-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
