Function

Research found that tangeretin is readily absorbed in tissues and that it has many beneficial properties such lowering of cholesterol, anti-tumor activity and neuroprotective action. Tangeretin may offer health benefits of anti-cancer activities, as it is one of the most effective at inhibiting cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo.

Pharmacology:

Anti-fungal action, anticarcinogenic effect. It can inhibit the proliferation of sub-tumour cells in vitro and inhibit the release of basophil histamine. It can also inhibit the shrinkage of smooth muscle cells.
