Synthesis, characterization and reactivity of dinuclear rhenium complexes containing hemilabile phosphines as ligands: X-ray structures of diax-[Re2(CO)8{κ1(P)-Ph2P(CH2)2CN}2], [

, p. 178 - 185 (2016)
The reaction of [Re2(CO)8(MeCN)2] with cyanoethylphosphines affords mono- and disubstituted compounds where the phosphine ligand is κ1(P)-coordinated. When diallylphosphines are used as ligands, the μ:κ3/s
The Halogenation of Toluene with Sulphuryl Chloride and Dichlorine in the Presence of Transition Metal Complexes
Davis, Reg,Durrant, Jim L. A.,Rowland, Cristopher C.
, p. 119 - 134 (2007/10/02)
A detailed study has been made of the halogenation of toluene in the presence of a range of transition metal complexes. Both side-chain and ring chlorination are observed, the favoured route depending on the metal complex.Side-chain halogenation, in the presence of and (M= Pd, Pt), has been shown to proceed by a free radical chain reaction in which the metal complex acts solely as an initiator. In the presence of, (M= Mn, Re), , and , ring chlorinated products are formed by a Friedel-Crafts mechanism.
Associative Substitution Reactions of *Re(CO)5
Fox, Arnold,Malito, John,Poe, Anthony
, p. 1052 - 1053 (2007/10/02)
Studies of competition between substitution and chlorine abstraction reactions of photochemically generated *Re(CO)5 radicals show that substitution proceeds via a second-order associative path and not via CO dissociation.
